Before we lift a fork, we visually connect with our food on an emotional level. Make sure your food photography is telling the right story.
I believe that food touches people at a core emotional level, that every gnarly radish and delicate slice of cake is beautiful, and that the stories of food and the people who make and eat it need to be told.
I’m Maria, a food photographer, food stylist, and recipe developer based in Columbus, Ohio. In my five years of professional experience, I have enjoyed working with brands such as Lindt Chocolate, Stonyfield Organic, Smucker’s, The Kitchn, Delish.com, and several local clients. My work has been featured on The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Food52, Brit + Co., and many other quality publications.
As my client, I consult with you about the story you want your food to convey. I then work to make sure that I capture your unique vision and exceed your expectations while giving you and your food the respect you both deserve.
Recipe Development + Styling + Photography
I developed, styled, and photographed this Vegan Shepherd’s Pie for TheCookful.com, a young food website that goes in-depth on a new food topic every two weeks.
Styling + photography
I regularly style and photograph recipes for TheKitchn.com, such as this one for Balsamic & Mustard Glazed Chicken Thighs and Figs.
The Angry Baker
I styled these pastries and bread from Angry Baker, which were photographed by Pamela Reece Kauffman of PRK Imagery.
