Food Story

Food Story

Starts Here

Before we lift a fork, we visually connect with our food on an emotional level. Make sure your food photography is telling the right story.

I believe that food touches people at a core emotional level, that every gnarly radish and delicate slice of cake is beautiful, and that the stories of food and the people who make and eat it need to be told.

I’m Maria, a food photographer, food stylist, and recipe developer based in Columbus, Ohio. In my five years of professional experience, I have enjoyed working with brands such as Lindt Chocolate, Stonyfield Organic, Smucker’s, The Kitchn,, and several local clients. My work has been featured on The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Food52, Brit + Co., and many other quality publications.

As my client, I consult with you about the story you want your food to convey. I then work to make sure that I capture your unique vision and exceed your expectations while giving you and your food the respect you both deserve.

What I Offer

I work with digital and print publications, food brands, and restaurants to create amazing visual representations of food and drinks. I also develop plant-based baking and dessert recipes.

Behind the camera, I make sure to get the good side of your product, recipe, or restaurant.

Food & Prop Styling

I make your food look perfect (or perfectly imperfect) and set the scene to tell your unique food story.

Recipe Development

I create vegan recipes for digital and print publications and food brands. I especially love creating desserts.
