Hi! I’m Maria. I’m a commercial and editorial photographer specializing in food and product photography. While my love of film photography started way back in 2003, I began my food photography career in 2013, and I’ve been falling for new subjects ever since. My current interests lie in still life, interiors, and CPG & ecommerce photography.

I pride myself on being adaptable to my clients’ brand aesthetics, but texture and color are always essential in my images. My roots in formalism mean I love a macro shot that highlights the details and unique traits of whatever is in front of my lens. Regardless of what I’m photographing, I bring both a critical eye and a sense of play and collaboration to every shoot.

I have worked with both small businesses and larger national brands for editorial and advertising projects, and I have a soft spot for seeing my work in print. My work has been printed in the New York Times, included in a winning Clio integrated campaign (2023), and published in several cookbooks. My ecommerce work can be found across Faire and and Shopify stores.

I occasionally travel for my work, but I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, where I live with my husband, two kids, and two cats. When I’m not on set, you’ll probably find me watching horror movies, tending to plants, making art, and doing other nerdy, introverted things.
