Hi! I’m Maria. I’m a commercial and editorial photographer specializing in food and product photography. While my love of film photography started way back in 2003, I began my food photography career in 2013, and I’ve been falling for new subjects ever since. My current interests lie in still life, interiors, and ecommerce photography.

I pride myself on being adaptable to my clients’ brand aesthetics, but texture and color are always essential in my images. My roots in formalism mean I love a macro shot that highlights the details and unique traits of whatever is in front of my lens. Regardless of what I’m photographing, I bring both a critical eye and a sense of play and collaboration to every shoot.

I have worked with both small businesses and larger national brands for editorial and advertising projects, and I have a soft spot for seeing my work in print. My work has been printed in the New York Times, included in a winning Clio integrated campaign (2023), and published in several cookbooks. My ecommerce work can be found across Faire and and Shopify stores.

I occasionally travel for my work, but I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, where I live with my husband, two kids, and two cats. When I’m not on set, you’ll probably find me watching horror movies, reading, making art, and doing other nerdy, introverted things.
